Geography

Taliparamba is located at 12.05°N 75.35ᅡ [ 1 ] . It has an average elevation of 56  metres (183  feet ). Administration Taliparamba is the largest Taluk in Kerala. Taliparamba is a municipality in Kerala called a Nagarasabha. It is divided into 41 wards. [1] This is also the headquarters of the 3 taluks in the district of Kannur, the other two being Kannur and Talasheri. There are 47 villages in the taluk. They spread from coast to the hills. 13 Village panchayats that form the particular block panchayat are the following. Alakode Chapparapadavu Chengalai Cherukunnu Kalliasseri Kannapuram Kurumathur Naduvil Narath Pappinisseri Pariyaram Pattuvam Udayagiri [2] It is also an Assembly constituency and traditionally the left wing parties had been winning from this seat. [3] . At present C. K. P. Padmanabhan is the MLA. Parts of this constituency belong to Kannur Parliamentary constituency. There is also a police station and court. Religious Centres Taliparamba is home to a number of Temples , Churches and Mosques . Sree Rajarajeshwara Temple One of the prominent Hindu temples in Taliparamba , and Also nearby Trichambaram Temple is situated about 1 km from Taliparamba town.
